3D IT - 3D Models for Innovative Teaching

Students have problems understanding complex 3D structures from 2D representations, but spatial reasoning is vital for clinical examination, surgery and interpretation of 2D radiographs.

This project brings rapid-prototyping Medical imaging software from UCL Medical Physics into veterinary teaching. We will reconstruct 3D structures and cavities from CT scans, making mpeg videos and interactive learning objects.
